I-BEAM Collaboratives
The I-BEAM Collaboratives Program aims to fuel the creation of robust research communities, scientific discovery, institute growth, and research focused training programs. A Collaborative is defined as a group of individuals who are passionate about making transformative change in our understanding of a human condition and our ability to treat that condition. An effective Collaborative will seek to integrate the input of all stakeholders, develop a vibrant community at Brown, and identify external partners who will enhance the endeavor.

I-BEAM Educational Leadership
I-BEAM is the academic home of the Biomedical Engineering (BME) Graduate Program at Brown. At Brown, BME Graduate training spans from basic science to clinical immersion, from head (neuroengineering) to toe (orthopedics), from molecules to cells, and from individual cells to whole organisms.
I-BEAM Grand Rounds
Grand rounds serve as a key educational tool in continuing medical education of healthcare professionals and are a time-honored tradition that have greatly evolved from their inception in the late 19th century. Grand rounds are formal presentations where medical professionals—often led by experienced physicians— present clinical cases or new research on medical topics to an audience that typically includes doctors, residents, medical students, and other healthcare providers. Our goal is to extend that audience to include engineers and other scientists, establishing a vibrant community of problem solvers across the Institute.
