Ben Wilks earns Student Scientist Award for TERMIS-AM 2017

Ben Wilks, a PhD candidate in Biomedical Engineering, was awarded a Student Scientist Award for the 2017 TERMIS-AM Conference.

The conference took place December 3-6, 2017 in Charlotte, NC.

Ben's abstract was titled Enhancing the Stability of Self-Assembled Toroid-Shaped Tissue Constructs via Media Composition. Undergraduate student Morcos Nakhla also contributed to this work. Additionally, Biomedical Engineering graduate student Kali Manning presented a poster entitled Microtissue Sliding Technique for Biofabrication.  Both projects were carried out in Prof. Jeff Morgan's lab.
