As part of BIOL 2230 Biomedical Engineering and Biotechnology Seminar, PhD students prepared 90 second videos of STEM topics that they are passionate about. Finalists were chose by peers in the course.

Leigh Hochberg, Director of the Department of Veterans Affairs Rehabilitation Research and Development Center for Neurorestoration and Neurotechnology (CfNN) in Providence, R.I., has received the 2022 VA Paul B. Magnuson Award for his work to improve the lives of Veterans and others who experience stroke, ALS, spinal cord injury, and neurological disease.

Karniadakis elected to National Academy of Engineering

George Karniadakis, Charles Pitts Robinson and John Palmer Barstow Professor of Applied Mathematics and Engineering at Brown University, and Wook Hyun Kwon Ph.D. ’76, professor emeritus at Seoul National University in South Korea, have been elected to the National Academy of Engineering (NAE).
